Press Release 2010

Sabinsa Corporation is pleased to announce that the company’s manufacturing facility in Bangalore, India has achieved Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Registration through NSF International’s Dietary Supplement Certification program.

While Sabinsa has six manufacturing facilities, approximately 90% of its nutritional ingredients are produced in this GMP certified facility. The 77,500 sq. ft. facility houses state of the art manufacturing for herbal extracts, nutritional and specialty fine chemicals and their compositions, with an additional 15,000 sq. ft. devoted to lab space.

Sabinsa's Bangalore facility successfully met all requirements included in NSF's GMP Registration Program. NSF conducted a plant audit to verify compliance with GMPs and will conduct periodic audits at the facility to ensure continued conformance. GMPs for the current NSF Dietary Supplements Program are included in NSF American National Standard 173‐Dietary Supplements, the only American National Standard for Dietary Supplement, and are consistent with the requirements that FDA has laid out in 21 CFR § 111.

GMP regulatory requirements provide guidelines for necessary processes, procedures and documentation to assure the product produced has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity it is represented to possess. Sabinsa's GMP registration reflects their continued commitment to ensuring quality and satisfaction.
