Sabinsa Corporation is completing the construction of a 17,000
square foot expansion at its manufacturing and distribution facility in Payson, Utah, extending the company's
current in-house manufacturing capabilities and capacity. This new facility includes cutting edge technology in
design and function and will provide high volume capacity in fluid bed processing/granulation and high volume
custom drum-to-hopper blends. Furthermore, analytical, microbiological and pilot laboratories are being
constructed to assure product quality and consistency and to facilitate product development and efficient batch
scale-up. Discussions are presently being conducted to develop new business for this facility. Operations are
scheduled to begin in March once all the installation qualifications and operational qualifications are completed.
"Our new facility extends the company's vision of being a world leader in quality, science-based
ingredients by offering additional processes to help us meet increasing customer demands. This expansion
extends our vertical integration making us an even better resource for our clients," stated Ed Olson, senior vice
president of manufacturing, Sabinsa Corporation. "In addition to our state-of-the-art fluid bed processors, our
new facility incorporates some of the finest air handling and water purification systems in the industry. These
additional capabilities will complement the manufacturing standards of our quality oriented contract
manufacturers, branded manufacturers and marketing company customers."
The new facility will operate under the banner of Sabinsa Manufacturing and will work quickly to
secure Australian TGA and other international regulatory certifications to better serve its domestic clients with
international distribution, as well as international clients presently serviced through other Sabinsa offices
globally.
