Sabinsa Corporation Awarded
for
Selenomethionine and Forlsean

 

Piscataway, NJ: - Sabinsa   Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of high quality herbal extracts, cosmeceuticals, minerals and specialty fine chemicals, was  awarded  a  product merit award by Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ) for their branded L –(+) – Selenomethionine compound, Selenium SeLECT (R), and an investment  in science and Research award  for Forslean (R) , the company’s branded  and patented  coleus forskohlii extract ingredient  used to improve body composition.

NBJ a research, publishing and consulting company serving the nutrition, natural Products and alternative health care industries, present their annual Business Achievement  awards  to companies fore their distinguished achievements in large, mid-size and small companies; growth in ingredient suppliers; stock performance; investment in science and research; efforts on behalf of the industry; personal achievement; Environment and sustainability; social responsibility; customer services and education; And product merit. Awards will be presented to attending companies in a special ceremony at the NBJ Newport Summit, July  26 – 28, 2006,  in Dana point, Calif.

Forslean was honored with the investment in science and research  award  because of the Numerous scientific studies completed and published in 2005  confirming its safety and Efficacy in increasing lean body mass and optimizing body composition. “body composition and  hormonal Adaptations Associated with  Forskolin Consumption in overweight and obese Men “ published in the Journal of obesity Research, “ Effects of  coleus  forskohlii  extract supplementation on body composition and markers of health in sedentary overweight Females” published in the Journal of the International society of sports Nutrition and  a Third study Conducted by the Kasturba Medical college in Manipal, India, all revealed that subjects receiving Forslean showed statistically significant increases in lean body mass levels and reductions in body fat percentages, body weight and body mass index with no adverse side effects.

The product merit award recognized the advantages of Selenium SeLECT, the most bioavailable , pure and safe form of selenium and the worldwide quality standard for Selenomethionine  Standards for heavy metal content, however, in nee .Selenium SeLECT has always been well within U.S. Pharmacopeia standards for heavy metal Content , however, in 2005 Sabinsa further tightened specifications to ensure it continues to exceed increasingly stringent worldwide regulations.
