Sabinsa
expands Citrin®
line of products

Citrin
is Sabinsa's trademarked name for an unique calcium salt
of hydroxy citric acid, an effective natural weight loss
phytonutrient from Garcinia cambogia, which Sabinsa Corporation
was the first to standardize. To enable versatile applications
of (-) hydroxy citric acid in functional food products
and include the essential health benefits of the mineral
potassium, Sabinsa later developed (-)-hydroxy citric
acid in a soluble form as the potassium salt, Citrin®K.
Sabinsa Corporation now introduces new soluble salt
forms of Citrin®. Citrin®Mg
combines the weight loss effects of (-)-hydroxy citric
acid with the health benefits of magnesium, an essential
mineral nutrient for metabolic functions and energy

Joseph Kalba has been an integral part of
Sabinsa's talented marketing team since 1994.
With almost 30 years experience in selling
chemicals and related products, Joe has contributed
greatly to the growth of Sabinsa Corporation.
Joe began his marketing career with the Essex
Chemical Co. in 1969, a manufacturer of inorganic
chemicals. His experience in selling materials
to the pharmaceutical/nutritional products
and food ingredient/flavor industries was
further enhanced by his tenure with Devon
Chemicals Inc., a manufacturer of organic
solvents. At Sabinsa, Joe contributes to developing
clientele for the company's range

Dr. Muhammed Majeed, President and C.E.O. of
Sabinsa Corporation, examines Curcuma longa
rhizomes at a plantation in India. These rhizomes
will be processed in the state-of- the- art
manufacturing at Bangalore, India, to yield
the standardized extract, Curcumin C complex.

Antidiabetic
herbs for Ayurveda |

| Sabinsa Corporation
will soon release a preliminary report detailing
the company's range of anti-diabetic herbal products.
The report titled "Diabetes: Its etiology
and control with Ayurvedic herbs" provides
information on nature of diabetes and the herbal
approach to reducing blood sugar levels. The herbs
described in this brochure include Gymnema sylvestre,
Momordica charantia (bitter melon), Tinospora
cordifolia, Fenufibers ™ (extracted from
fenugreek) as well as other herbs from Ayurveda,
which have been used for centuries in the management
of diabetes. Summaries of clinical studies validating
the safety and efficacy included. Brochures will
be available for distribution in the first week

Sochim
International, Milan, Italy, has been Sabinsa's official
distributor in the non-English speaking countries of
Europe, for about five years. The company, founded by
Mrs. Olga Eigenmann over twenty years ago, offers technical
formulation assistance to manufacturers of health foods,
dietary supplements and natural cosmetic products, in
addition to trading in standardized dry herbal extracts.
Sochim's participation in the technical discussions
featured in Saben'98 acquainted health professionals,
traders, manufacturers and others from the health and
nutritional products industry in Europe with Sabinsa's
wide range of herbal extracts in diverse finished product
forms.

Dr. Bruce Youngberg of Accupressure Plus, El Cajon,
CA stopped by and welcomed us to the cyberworld. He
also shared his successful experience in using Bowellin ®
and Glucosamine sulfate to treat a retired endurance
race horse suffering from bone arthritis. The horse
is now in sound health and under no medication. Thank
you, Dr. Youngberg, for letting us know.
